Welcome to Kensington Group Practice GP Website

We would like to make you aware, that from Tuesday 3rd January, 2017, our open surgery arrangements in Finaghy Health Centre will be changing.  They will run on a Monday and Thursday morning, rather than Monday and Tuesday morning.  This means the first open surgery session at Finaghy in the New Year will be on Thursday 5th January, 2017.  Our open surgery arrangements at Donegall Road will continue unchanged, and continue to run Monday to Friday.

We would like to remind our patients that the open surgery appointments are for when there is a more urgent or acute need to see a Doctor.  Routine matters should be dealt with in the regular bookable appointments.  By doing so, this helps maintain access for those who need it most, when they need it most.  Thank you for your understanding.

Ladies aged between 50 and 70?  Please keep an eye out for your Breast Screening invitation, we would strongly encourage you to attend.

This is a very important opportunity to screen for Breast Cancer, in order to detect and treat at an earlier stage.  Invitations are sent every three years.  This will be carried out for our patients between the 1st and 14th of December 2016, at the Breast Screening Unit, Linenhall Street, Belfast, not at your GP Surgery.  Details for booking your appointment will be on your invitation.  Please advise them of any special requirements (eg. need for interpreter, access difficulties.)

At any time, whether you have received an invitation or not, if you have concerns about breast symptoms, please speak to one of our GPs.

Further information can be found at

We continue to offer flu clinics!

If you are entitled to receive the flu vaccine, you should have received an invitation from ourselves to make an appointment to get your vaccine.  If you have not yet responded to your invitation, we strongly encourage you to do so, to ensure you are protected.  If you do not wish to receive the vaccination this year, please let us know so we can note this in your records.

Who is entitled to the flu vaccine from their GP surgery?  See - the flu vaccine is offered to those most at risk from complications of the flu.

If you are entitled to the flu vaccine, please make your appointment at the GP Surgery now!

You may be able to receive your vaccine if you are attending the surgery for another matter (eg. when seeing the nurse or our doctors) which may save you having to the visit the surgery more than once.  If you are entitled to other vaccines, such as the Shingles or Pneumonia vaccine, these may be given at the same time, if you are seen by the Doctor.  These latter two vaccines are not given every year.

We look forward to seeing you.  Book your appointment today!
